Great Grandma

I know I know I know…I have no business writing this letter to you, especially since it’s my fault I miss you. I’m sorry. I have no excuse. You’re only two and a half hours away and I only seem to make it up there on your birthday and occasionally on Thanksgiving. I’m writing you this letter to let you know that I’m going to do better. Thanks for calling me out when I came up for your birthday this past September. “Danielle only comes to see me for my birthday” LOL It was at that moment that I realized I don’t see you nearly enough. I promise I’m going to do better. So be looking out for me, and I guarantee you it will be before your 97th birthday. I may even spend the night, but first I need to buy me a new suit so I can’t hang with you at church. I can’t walk in there with the church mother half stepping LOL

So now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, I would just like to say Thank You! I know I’m the quiet one out the bunch, but I really appreciate all that you’ve been to me. Thanks for raising my dad. He’s the absolute best and I know it’s all because of you and grandma Lucille of course. But he gives you all the credit, so I have to do the same. You are the most loving and caring person I know. I don’t care when it is that I call you or how you may be feeling you always have a positive attitude and I love that about you. You are the strongest woman I know. Hands down! I’ve watched you burry you husband and even a daughter and that didn’t break you. Your presence truly amazes me. I don’t know if I should be admitting this, but I’m kind of jealous grandma….how in the world did you get a letter from President Obama on your birthday? I guess I have to be 96 to get that kind of treatment LOL. You are definitely the rock of the family and I love you more than words can express.

I’m going to cut this letter kind of short because I’m coming to see you soon. But we have to make sure my dad isn’t coming the same weekend, that way I don’t have to share you with him LOL. Hope you’re ready because we’re having a photo shoot…don’t worry I won’t get your cane in the picture 🙂
