Why are you so dressed up? Why do you always wear heals? Do you ever wear the same thing twice? Where do you think you are going? All of which I am asked at least once a week. I’m a woman that enjoys to dress up. I take pleasure in looking dolled up, even on… Continue reading To Each Her Own Slay!
Far too often I hear ladies talking about this magical man that they’re looking for. I hear them going on and on about how he has to have this or look this way before he even has a shot at having a chance. “When you talk to her talk to her
Like you’d want somebody a
Talk to your mama
Don’t get smart with her

She’s somebody’s mama”
I know this term is way overused but why hate? Seriously, if another African American woman has something that you don’t; or has achieved something that you’ve yet to achieve…Why Hate? She’s just living proof that it can be accomplished.
I’ve decided to pay attention and starting Monday (January 25, 2010) I’m going to spotlight a new African American woman every week on my desktop, and instead of getting annoyed when they don’t know who she is, I’m going to simply take them to school!
I would like to take this time to send a shout out to all the African American men that have made something of themselves in spite of their situation. Shout out to those of you that didn’t become a statistic. Even those of you that did, but didn’t stay one…I commend you for that. Those of you that graduated and are being productive citizens and are proving that not all black men end up in jail…I truly Thank You. Thank you for proving that not all African American men are deadbeats. Thank you for showing America that Black Men can be more than just a drug dealer or hoodlum.
